NIAGARA TAKES FLIGHT: THE ULTIMATE VISITOR GUIDE (2026)
Posted on February 19th, 2026. Niagara Falls, Canada
Let’s first cut to the chase and answer the most important question.
Is Niagara Takes Flight worth it? Yes!
Being just under $100 Canadian for 2 adults + 1 child (taxes included) makes it one of the more affordable top Niagara Falls attractions (less expensive than both the Niagara City Cruises boat cruise and Journey Behind The Falls).
WHAT IS NIAGARA TAKES FLIGHT?
Niagara Takes Flight is a state-of-the-art Niagara Falls flying theatre experience operated by Niagara Parks and is quickly becoming one of the top indoor attractions in Niagara Falls Canada.

The immersive ride uses motion seating, a massive curved screen, and environmental effects to simulate flying over Niagara Falls and surrounding Niagara landmarks.
During the experience, guests sit in comfortable, suspended flight-style seating and watch high-definition aerial film captured by drones while feeling sensations of motion, wind, mist and scent effects to enhance the simulation.
If you’ve experienced a flying theatre before, Niagara Takes Flight delivers an excellent version of this with a uniquely Niagara perspective.
HOW LONG IS NIAGARA TAKES FLIGHT?
Including the pre-show portion (read the what to expect section below), the total time spent at the attraction is around 30 minutes with the main event flight simulator coming in at approximately 6 minutes.
WHO WOULD ENJOY THE NIAGARA TAKES FLIGHT?
It’s best for families, couples, winter visitors, rainy days but it can be enjoyed any time of year and by pretty much everyone.
For many visitors, it’s one of the most comfortable and accessible ways to experience the scale of Niagara Falls.
Both the pre-show and main show are fully accessible, including a version of the film available in an accessible room for those in wheelchairs who are unable to transfer to a flight seat.
WHERE IS NIAGARA TAKES FLIGHT LOCATED?
Niagara Takes Flight is located on the top floor inside Table Rock Centre.
Address: 6650 Niagara Parkway, Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Paid parking is available nearby at Parking Lot A (7021 Niagara Parkway).
It’s easy to find. Just drive down the parkway towards the Table Rock Centre in either direction then follow the signage.
OUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH NIAGARA TAKES FLIGHT (WHAT TO EXPECT)
Even before we entered through the first set of doors we were struck by an impressive waterfall visual that made for a wonderful free photo op.

A nice surprise bonus to the experience was the creative visuals and storytelling during the pre-show.
Leading into the main show there are 3 rooms where you will wait in for a few minutes with your group.
Each room is decorated with a different theme related to the origins and history of Niagara Falls. It was obvious to us people put in a lot of time and thought into how everything looks and flows.

The final room before entering the man flight area included a simulated journey down 400 feet.

The main show is an impressive experience that blew us away.
Well timed effects make you feel like you’re actually flying over the falls.
Many other Niagara landmarks are included in the “flight” including an especially impressive sequence soaring through a war of 1812 reenactment filled with hundreds of people and canon fire that felt on par with scenes from Hollywood movies like 1917.
Kudos to the actors and technical team at Fort Erie!
I feel it was a bit on the short side at 6 minutes, but I may still say that even if it was twice as long because I was enjoying it so much that I didn’t want it to end.
An idea spawned from an 8 year old: I wonder if there would be a way to have it “fly into” the Niagara Takes Flight theatre during the show and momentarily switch from the pre-recorded footage to a live feed of a camera sliding in front of the seats before switching back to the pre-recorded footage. Not sure if that’s technically possible but it would be really cool!
NIAGARA TAKES FLIGHT TIPS
Check out the Market on the lower floor of Table Rock House for a bite to eat after the attraction. There’s something for everyone (pizza, poutine, salad, burgers, sushi, ice cream, coffee). There are other finer dining options within Table Rock (like the Table Rock Restaurant) but if you’re looking for a quicker more casual “food court” style meal the Market is the way to go.
They take your groups photo before going in which they try and sell to you on your way out. While it does make for a neat souvenir if you’re looking for that sort of thing you can also politely decline the option to buy the photo or even have one taken in the first place. Be kind! The front line workers are just doing as they’re trained to do, and from our experience, they’re a delight to deal with.
